Allama Iqbal, may he rest in peace!
Hazrat Allama Anwar Shah Kashmiri was a significant figure. There was a time when Allama Iqbal, may he rest in peace, developed a soft spot in his heart regarding the Ahmadiyya community. Hafiz Athar, who is based in Walton, told me this himself. He even had an office near a mosque in Australia where various publications were printed.
I believe there are books kept under “Asan Tehreer.” He informed me that Hazrat Lahori was aware that Allama Iqbal, may he rest in peace, was influenced by Hazrat Allama Anwar Shah Kashmiri. So, from Deoband, they wrote a letter to Hazrat Shah Sahib pointing out this soft spot of his regarding the Ahmadiyya. They advised him to discuss it with him and explain. Hazrat Sufi Bashir, who I think was also an employee in the department, was sent there. Hazrat Shah Sahib wrote a response on the back of that letter, and then Hazrat Shah Sahib came to Australia, near the mosque, and had a conversation with Allama Iqbal, may he rest in peace, for about half an hour. After their discussion, when they came out, they held a press conference. Allama Iqbal, may he rest in peace, was enlightened and stated clearly in the press conference:
“These Ahmadis are traitors to both Islam and the country.”
They are rebels and enemies of the Prophet. If they aren’t with the Prophet, how can they be with us?
علامہ اقبال مرحوم!
حضرت علامہ انور شاہ کاشمیری بڑی ہستی گزری۔ یہ تو ایک مرتبہ علامہ اقبال مرحوم، ان کے دل میں قادیانیوں کے بارے میں کچھ نرم گوشہ اگیا۔ حافظ اطہر صاحب ہیں والٹن میں ہوتے ہیں، انہوں نے مجھے خود سنایا۔ اسٹریلیا میں مسجد کے قریب ہی ان کا دفتر بھی تھا وہاں پر۔ باقاعدہ وہاں ان کے وہاں سے رسائل وغیرہ چھپتے تھے۔
ایک میرا خیال “اسان تحریر “اندر کتابیں رکھی ہوئی ہیں۔ مجھے خود بتلایا کہ حضرت لاہوری ان کو اندازہ تھا کہ علامہ اقبال مرحوم حضرت علامہ انور شاہ کاشمیری ان سے متاثر ہیں۔ تو دیو بند ،حضرت شاہ صاحب کو خط لکھا ان کا قادیانیوں کے بارے میں کچھ نرم گوشہ ہے۔ تو اپ ا کر ان سے گفتگو کریں اور سمجھائیں۔ تو حضرت صوفی بشیر صاحب تھے، میرا خیال ہے کہ محکمے میں ملازم بھی تھے۔ ان کو بھیجا وہاں پر، تو حضرت شاہ صاحب نے اسی رقعہ کے پیچھےجواب لکھا اور پھر حضرت شاہ صاحب تشریف لائے۔ یہاں اسٹریلیا مسجد کے قریب وہ دفتر ہے وہاں پر علامہ اقبال مرحوم سے گفتگو کی اور ادھا گھنٹہ تقریبا گفتگو کی۔ گفتگو کرنے کے بعد جب باہر نکلے، باہر وہاں پریس کانفرنس کی۔ علامہ اقبال مرحوم کو شرح صدر ہو گیا اور ا کر پریس کانفرنس میں صاف کہا:
” یہ قادیانی اسلام اور ملک دونوں کے غدار ہیں۔”
یہ حضور کی ختم نبوت کے باغی اور دشمن ہیں۔ جو حضور کے نہیں تو وہ ہمارے کیسے ہو سکتے ہیں؟
