According to the belief of Muslims, the end of prophethood means that the Holy Prophet ( peace be upon him) is the last prophet and the last messenger of Allah. Allah, the Exalted, has ended the chain of Prophets by sending him to this place. Now there will be no prophet after him. The end of prophethood of Holy Prophet (PBUH) has been mentioned in many verses of the Holy Qur’an in a very comprehensive manner with clarity.
God’s statement is:
Muhammad was not the father of any of your men, but the Messenger of God and the seal of the Prophets, and God was All-Knowing (al-Ahzab, 33:40).
Muhammad ﷺ is not the father of any of your men, but he is the Messenger of Allah and all Prophets are at the end ( of the chain of prophethood), and Allah is All -Knowing.”
He is the last prophet and no one will be appointed to this position until the Day of Resurrection. There are many verses in the Holy Quran that support and confirm the belief of the end of Prophethood. The Holy Prophet himself has defined this meaning of Khatam-ul-Nabieen in his numerous and frequent hadiths.
This is the belief on which the entire Islamic Ummah has agreed since the early centuries until today. The booklet under review ” Khatm-e-Nabubat Quiz ” is compiled by Mr. Munir Ahmad Sahib. The author has collected important questions and their answers about Khatman-e-Nabubat, Noble Prophethood, and rejection of Qadiyanism in this magazine. )
