Assalamu Alykum,
Couple of days ago there was a post about Ahmadiyya on this sub so I wanted to share my story because it resonated with my life.
So, I was born into an Ahmadiyya family. In ninth grade, in Pakistan, I studied Hadith on Finality of Prophethood in Islamiyyat course, these Hadith were Sahih. This sparked a flame in my mind and over the years I studied more and more on Islam. I found traditional Islam quite compelling. When I moved to Canada there was a Sunni Mosque near my work, so I started going there, befriended the Imam. And Wallahi, no one ever judged me there. After 6 years of going into that mosque, I asked the Imam; Is doing Shahadah officially necessary? He told me, its recommended. So I did my Shahadah right away.
The point is, if you are born into an Ahmadi family. From a very early age, you will start getting brainwashed like “we are better”, “we are the only ones on truth” and “all others are wrong”. Same thing over and over and over again for the first 15 years of your life. They have a sophisticated system in place to make sure this happens.
Ahmadiyya doctrines are flawed. The founder of Ahmadiyya made a lot of failed and unimpressive prophecies. He claimed to be an all-rounder guy; Mehdi, Messiah, Mujaddid, Second Coming of Muhammad (NAUDZUBILLAH), he claimed to be incarnation of Krishna for Hindus. You get the point; Ahmadiyya holds quite heretic beliefs. What they need is education not persecution.
In my journey, Brother Muhammad Hijab had quite an impact. His debates with Ahmadis more solidified my decision. Here are some: YouTube video 1, YouTube video 2, detailed analysis. And other relative failed prophecies (link 1) (link 2) also weren’t ignorable for me.
Muslim debate initiative, https://muslimdebate.org/, specifically Sadat Anwar (MDI Canada) debate with a top-tier Ahmadi Missionary also played a huge role: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rr-VMB6_bZQ.
And Numerous Hadith on the finality of Prophethood impacted my decision.
Allah has told us in the Quran in many places:
” Say: Those who fabricate against Allah shall not prosper” Quran 10:69, similar verse in Quran 16:116.
Consequently, Qadiani/Ahmadiyya is dying. Approximately 95% of Ahmadis are of Pakistani/Indian origins only (and most of them are only Punjabis). In Pakistan, in 1998 census, Ahmadis were 0.22% of total population, in 2017 census they are at only 0.09% (approx: less than 200k members) of total population. In India, the birthplace of this religion, Ahmadiyya is almost extinct, they have less than 40k people in a country of 1.5 BILLION. More than 90% of Peoples of Qadian, the birth-town of Ahmadiyyat, is either Hindus or Sikhs. This is a litmus test for Ahmadiyya, if they were really truthful, don’t they think that Allah would have helped them prosper? Ahmadiyyat have good revenue-generation system which helps creates their missionaries but yet only people they manage to ‘convert’ are because of marriages. People are leaving Ahmadiyya at an all time high rate, and in western countries, sadly sadly sadly, many are becoming atheists. We should pray that Ahmadis come on the right path.
I have noticed that mods of this subreddit have a no-tolerance policy towards Ahmadis. I appreciate that policy, especially after I saw how Ahmadis were sending DMs (typical of them) to new Muslims on this subreddit. If the mods need a way to block Ahmadis in bulk, lmk, I have a way.
Allhamdolillah, Subhan’Allah, Alla-humma-salli-alla-Muhammad
Jazak’Allah kheir.
