The population in Nawan Kot Chak 79, a village in the Safdarabad Tehsil of Sheikhupura, involves around five thousand people. In this village, besides the Muslim population, there are also a few Christian and Ahmadi families living here. There are seven mosques for Muslims, one Christian church, and there is also one place of worship for the Ahmadis.

Since the creation of Pakistan, we’ve seen the Qadianis here. I was born in 1966. There are about 30 to 35 Mirzai houses here now; there might have been fewer before, and a few houses belong to Christians. Apart from that, the rest of the population is Muslim, totaling around five thousand people. Up until now, Muslims haven’t harmed anyone, and there’s no example of any such incidents.
Local people say that no individual belonging to a minority has ever been harmed by the Muslim community. People are living here peacefully. The Qadianis in this area are big landowners, and the locals claim that they have been occupying government land for a long time.

Muslims have not committed any excesses. It’s these Chaudhry people, the Mirzai, who have been the ones doing wrong. They force their way through and shove people around. They do everything according to their own wishes. The Muslims here are all poor folks. These Qadianis own several plots of land. Their sons have gone abroad, three or four of them. They don’t care about anyone.

What I mean is that it’s the Muslims who have taken the hits from these Qadianis until now. You won’t find a single example of a Muslim oppressing a Qadiani or a Christian. You can check any old records you want.
Not only that, but they also continue to bury their deceased in the graveyards allotted to Muslims. Some time ago, the Qadianis started illegally constructing their own funeral places adjacent to the Muslim graveyard, which led to protests from the local community. As a result, the construction was halted.

About seven or eight months ago, an issue arose regarding the cemetery. As I mentioned before, it’s a cemetery allotted for Muslims. The Qadianis unlawfully dumped bricks and dirt there and began to construct a funeral home. When we found out about this, we informed the village headman. The matter escalated to being taken to the Tehsildar, and it nearly turned into a fight. However, the Tehsildar managed to mediate and stop them. Still, it was decided that these Qadianis would remove their bricks and dirt. But if you go to the cemetery now, you’ll find it all still there. The village boys who went to the cemetery to help the administration were constantly threatened by the Qadianis, who would identify them and harass them from time to time. The issue was someone else’s fight; these boys were there because they supported the cemetery issue. They targeted the entire family with violence just to let off steam. There was no other reason for this violence.

Now it’s the turn of other people (Muslims) too. The Qadianis openly talk about this. Those boys who used to roam around and were with the administration recognized the faces of those Muslim boys. So, in the square, they cornered them and started fighting, beating them so badly that it can’t even be expressed in words. When their poor mother went to rescue them, she was also subject to violence. This has been extreme injustice.
Shehzad, a resident of this village and from a relatively weak family, was also part of this protest. The Qadianis made an excuse a few days ago to start attacking Shehzad’s younger brothers, Ashfaq and Haidar Ali. Upon learning of this, Shehzad and his brother came to save their younger brothers from the Qadiani attackers, but they were beaten severely, and their elderly mother was also subjected to cruelty and violence.

There were me, my brother, and three friends. We were sitting in the sauna, and I had gone there to get my hair done. We were joking around with each other. A guy from the Mirzai community came up and said, “Why are you all joking around?” My brother and I told him it was none of his business and to back off. He didn’t back down and pushed me, then started cursing at me and slapped my brother. By that time, his uncle showed up (the Mirzai’s). He didn’t ask anything and started hitting my brother. There were about 20 or 25 of them, and they suddenly came in with sticks and iron rods. They began to assault us, and I got hit on my hand with an iron rod.

We had no issues with them, nor did we have any enmity towards them. My younger brother Haider had gone to get a haircut, and I received a call from my younger brother Ashfaq. He said we had a fight with the Mirzais and to come quickly. I went, along with my older brother Altaf and Shahbaz. We three went together. Later, my mother and my brother Nawaz joined us. They didn’t listen to anything we said and started assaulting us. They separated me and took me towards their house, where they beat me badly. They tore my shirt and tried to strangle me with it, attempting to kill me. I was hit with sticks, slaps, and whatever else they could find.

The kids from the Qadiani group were fighting among themselves. I said it’s no big deal, I’ll go break it up. I had just stepped out after having a meal when I went over and asked what was going on. Why are you fighting? My younger brother Shahzad was with me. Just as I said this, some boy shouted from behind that Shahzad had come, grab him; he was with me at that time. They pulled my brother Shahzad away to the other side while I was still standing there when someone hit me on the head with something — I didn’t know if it was an axe or a stick or what it was. I lost consciousness and have no idea what happened afterward.
Mohammad Altaf (older brother)
About 20 to 25 of them came in like they had planned this beforehand. So when I asked them what the reason was, I inquired with the Mirzais, and they ignored what I said and started beating me up. The Qadianis hit my hand with a stick, which resulted in a broken bone. The medical reports also confirm that the bone is broken. After that, they hit me on the head as well. I don’t know what else they used to hit me. They hit me in the back, slapped me, beat me with sticks, and kicked me. As their aggression escalated, they continued to assault us.
Mohammad Shahbaz (older brother)
When my mother found out that the Qadiani kids were being beaten, she went to save them along with my older brother. They grabbed my brother and started hitting my mother with sticks. When the Mirzais beat my mother with the sticks, she fell down and lost consciousness. They hit her on the head, hit her on the arm, and hit her on the leg with the stick. It was nearly six or seven hours later when my mother regained consciousness. The Mirzais then left, saying their work was done, and they fled from there.
شیخوپورہ کے تحصیل صفدر اباد کے نواہی گاؤں نواں کوٹ چک 79 کی عبادی تقریبا پانچ ہزار لوگوں پر مشتمل ہے۔ اس گاؤں میں مسلم ابادی کے علاوہ چند عیسائی اور قادیانی گھرانے بھی اباد ہیں۔ یہاں پر مسلمانوں کے سات مساجد، ایک عیسائی چرچ، جب کہ قادیانی عبادت گاہ بھی ایک موجود ہے۔

یہ جی پاکستان بننے کے بعد جب کی ہماری پیدائش ہے تب سے ہم نے ان کو (قادیا نیوں) یہیں پر دیکھا ہے۔ سن 1966 کی میری پیدائش ہے۔ یہاں تقریبا مرزئیوں کے 30 سے 35 گھر اب ہیں، ہو سکتا ہے کہ پہلے کم ہوں اور چند گھر عیسائیوں کے ہیں۔ اور اس کے علاوہ باقی مسلمان ابادی ہے، یہاں تقریبا پانچ ہزار کی ابادی ہے۔ اور اج تک ایسا ہی ہے مسلمانوں نے کسی کے ساتھ زیادتی نہیں کی اور اس کی کوئی مثال نہیں مل سکتی۔
مقامی لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ مسلم ابادی کی طرف سے کبھی کسی اقلیت سے تعلق رکھنے والے فرد کو نقصان نہیں پہنچایا گیا۔ پر امن طریقے سے لوگ یہاں رہ رہے ہیں۔ یہاں کے قادیانی بڑے زمیندار ہیں اور اس مقامی لوگوں کا کہنا ہے کہ عرصہ دراز سے وہ سرکاری زمین پر بھی قابض ہیں۔

مسلمانوں نے کوئی بھی زیادتی نہیں کی۔ یہ چوہدری لوگ ہیں جتنے مرزائی ہیں۔ انہوں نے ہی زیادتی کی ہے جس کے ساتھ بھی کی ہے۔ یہ زبردستی سینا زوری اور دھکم پیل کرتے ہیں۔ ہر کام اپنی مرضی سے کرتے ہیں۔ یہ جو مسلمان ہیں غریب لوگ ہیں سارے۔ یہ قادیانی کئی مربع کے مالک ہیں۔ بیٹے ان کے تین تین چار چار باہر کے ملک گئے ہوئے ہیں۔ کسی بندے کی کوئی پرواہ نہیں کرتے۔

مطلب یہ کہ ان قادیانیوں سے اج تک مار مسلمانوں نے ہی کھائی ہے۔ مسلمانوں کی کوئی مثال نہیں ملے گی کہ کسی قادیانی کو یا کسی عیسائی پر کسی مسلمان نے ظلم کیا ہو۔ پرانا ریکارڈ جہاں سے مرضی چیک کر سکتے ہیں۔
نہ صرف یہ بلکہ اپنے فوت شدگان کو بھی مسلمانوں کے الاٹ شدہ قبرستان میں دفن کرتے چلے ا رہے ہیں۔ کچھ عرصہ پہلے قادیانیوں نے مسلمانوں کے قبرستان کہ متصل اپنی غیر قانونی جنازہ تعمیر کرنا شروع کر دی۔ جس پر مقامی ابادی نے احتجاج کیا۔ نتیجتا تعمیر روک دی گئی۔

کوئی تقریبا سات اٹھ ماہ قبل قبرستان سے متعلقہ ایک مسئلہ بنا۔ جیسا کہ میں نے پہلے عرض کیا کہ مسلمانوں کا الاٹ شدہ قبرستان ہے۔ مرزئیوں نے ادھر غیر قانونی طور پر اینٹیں اور مٹی پھینکی ،جنازگاہ بنانے لگے تھے۔ ہمیں جب اس بات کا علم ہوا تو پھر گاؤں کے نمبردار کو بتایا گیا۔ لیکن پھر تحصیلدار کے پاس بات گئی، معاملہ لڑائی تک پہنچنے لگا تھا۔ لیکن تحصیلدار نے ا کر معاملہ افہام و تفہیم سے ان کو روک دیا۔لیکن اس کے بعد طے یہی ہوا تھا کہ یہ قادیانی اپنی اینٹیں اور مٹی اٹھا لیں گے۔ مگر اپ اب بھی جائیں اور قبرستان دیکھیں تو وہ اسی طرح پڑی ہوئی ہیں . گاؤں کے جو جو بچے قبرستان گئے انتظامیہ پولیس کی مدد کے لیے, انہوں نے ان کی نشاندہی کر کے وقتا فوقتا ان بچوں کو دھمکیاں لگاتے رہتے تھے۔ جس کی وجہ سے لڑائی کسی اور کی تھی، یہ بچے وہاں گئے کیونکہ یہ قبرستان والے معاملے میں ساتھ تھے۔ ان کو صرف اپنی خار نکالنے کے لیے سارے خاندان کو تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا۔ اس کے علاوہ اس تشدد کی اور کوئی وجہ نہیں تھی۔

ابھی اور لوگوں(مسلمانوں )کی بھی باری ہے۔ وہ قادیانی خود اپنی زبانی یہ باتیں کرتے ہیں۔ یہ لڑکے جو ادھر ادھر پھرتے تھے اور انتظامیہ کے ساتھ گئے تھے۔ اور انہوں نے ان مسلمان لڑکوں کے چہرے پہچان لیے۔ اس وجہ سے چوک میں ان کو گھیر کر ہاتھا پائی شروع کر دی اور پھر بہت مارا ، اتناکہ لفظوں میں بھی بیان نہیں کیا جا سکتا۔ جب ان کی والدہ بیچاری ان کو چھڑوانے کے لیے گئیں تو ان کو بھی تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا۔ بہت ہی زیادتی کی ہے۔
شہزاد جو کہ اس گاؤں کا رہائشی ہے اور نسبتا ایک کمزور گھرانے سے تعلق رکھتا ہے وہ بھی اس احتجاج میں شریک تھا۔ قادیانیوں نے بہانہ بنا کر چند دن قبل شہزاد کے چھوٹے بھائی اشفاق اور حیدر علی کو مارنا شروع کر دیا۔ اطلاع ملنے پر شہزاد اور اس کے بھائی قادیانی حملہ اوروں سے اپنے چھوٹے بھائیوں کو بچانے کے لیے ائے تو ان کو بہت بری طرح مارا گیا اور ان کی بوڑھی والدہ کو بھی ظلم اور تشدد کا نشانہ بنایا گیا۔
حیدر علی( چھوٹا بھائی)
میں، میرا بھائی اور تین دوست تھے۔ حمام میں بیٹھے تھے اور بال بنانے گیا تھا میں۔ وہاں ہم دوست ایک دوسرے سے مذاق کر رہے تھے۔ ایک مرزئی ایا وہ ہمیں کہہ رہا تھا تم آپس مذاق کیوں کر رہے ہو؟ میں نے اور میرے بھائی نے اسے کہا کہ یہ تمہارا معاملہ نہیں ہے تو تم سائیڈ پر ہو جاؤ ۔ وہ سائیڈ پر نہ ہوا اور اس نے مجھے دھکا دے دیا اور مجھے گالیاں نکالنی شروع کر دی اور میرے بھائی کو تھپڑ لگا دیا۔ اتنی دیر میں اس کا چاچو اگیا(مرزئی کا)۔ اس نے بھی ا کے کچھ نہیں پوچھا اور میرے بھائی کو مارنا شروع کر دیا۔ 20 ،25 بندے تھے اور وہ اچانک ائے ان کے ہاتھ میں ڈنڈے اور لوہے کے راڈ تھے۔ اور انہوں نے ا کر ہم پر تشدد کرنا شروع کر دیا۔ اور میرے ہاتھ پر لوہے کا راڈ لگا۔
محمد شہزاد
جی ہمارا ان کے ساتھ کوئی جھگڑا نہیں تھا، نہ ہی ہماری ان کے ساتھ کوئی دشمنی تھی۔ میرا چھوٹا بھائی حیدر ادھر بال کٹوانے گیا تھا کہ مجھے کال ائی میرے چھوٹے بھائی اشفاق کی۔ اس نے کہا کہ مرزائیوں کے ساتھ ہماری لڑائی ہو گئی ہے تو جلدی ائیں۔ میں گیا ،میرا بڑا بھائی الطاف اور شہباز۔ ہم تینوں گئے۔ بعد میں میری والدہ اور میرا بھائی نواز ساتھ گئے۔ انہوں نے ہماری کوئی بات نہیں سنی۔ ہم پر تشدد کرنا شروع کر دیا۔ مجھے علیحدہ لے کر، اپنے گھر کی طرف سے لے کر وہاں لے کر جا کر مجھے بہت پیٹا ۔ میری شرٹ پھاڑ دی اور میری شرٹ پھاڑ کر اس کو گلے میں ڈال کرمرزئیوں نے میرا گلا دبانے کی کوشش کی، مجھے جان سے مارنے کی کوشش کی۔ میری پیٹھ پر ڈنڈے، چماٹےاور جو کچھ بھی ان کے ہاتھ میں ایا انہوں نے ماری مجھے۔
محمد شہباز( بڑا بھائی)
مجھے کال ائی کے بچے اپس میں لڑ رہے ہیں۔ میں نے کہا کوئی بات نہیں میں جا کر چھڑواتا ہوں۔ کھانا کھا کر میں نکلا ہوں اور جا کر میں نے پوچھا ہے کہ کیا بات ہے؟ کیوں لڑ رہے ہو؟ میرے ساتھ میرا چھوٹا بھائی شہزاد تھا۔ ابھی اتنی بات کرنے کی دیر تھی کہ پیچھے سے کسی لڑکے نے اواز دی کہ یہ (شہزاد)اگیا ہے اس کو پکڑو، یہ ساتھ تھا اس وقت۔ میرے بھائی شہزاد کو کھینچ کر دوسری طرف لے گئے جبکہ میں ابھی ادھر کھڑا ہی تھا کہ میرے سر پر پتہ نہیں کوئی کلہاڑی تھی یا کوئی لکڑی کا ڈنڈا تھا یا کیا چیز تھی؟ میرے سر میں مار دیا۔ مجھے کوئی ہوش نہیں رہی کہ کیا ہوا بعد میں۔
محمد الطاف( بڑا بھائی)
ان کے 20، 25 بندے ایسے ائے جیسے انہوں نے پہلے سے ہی پلان بنا کر رکھا ہوا تھا۔ تو جب میں نے ان سے پوچھا کہ یار وجہ کیا بنی ہے؟ مرزئیوں سے پوچھا جب، انہوں نے میری کوئی بات نہیں سنی اور انہوں نے مجھے بھی مارنا شروع کر دیا۔ قادیانیوں نے میرے ہاتھ پر ڈنڈا مارا جس کی وجہ سے میرے ہاتھ کی ہڈی ٹوٹ گئی ہے۔ میڈیکل رپورٹس میں بھی کہا ہے کہ ہڈی ٹوٹی ہے۔ اس کے بعد انہوں نے سر میں بھی مارا ہے۔ پتہ نہیں کیا کیا چیزیں ماری ہیں ۔ کمر میں مارے ہیں ،تھپڑ مارے ہیں، ڈنڈے مارے ہیں، ٹھڈوں کے ساتھ مارا ہے۔ جیسے جیسے ان کا زور چلا ہے نا انہوں نے ہم پر تشدد کیا ہے۔
محمد شہباز( بڑا بھائی)
جب پتہ لگا میری والدہ کو کہ قادیانی بچوں کو مار رہے ہیں۔ میری والدہ صاحبہ بچانے گئی ہیں اور ساتھ میرا بڑا بھائی گیا ہے۔ بڑے بھائی کو انہوں نے پکڑ لیا اور میری والدہ کو بھی ڈنڈے مارنا شروع کر دیے قادیانیوں نے۔ جو مرزئیوں نے میری والدہ صاحبہ کو ڈنڈے مارے، تو میری والدہ صاحبہ گر گئیں اور بے ہوش ہو گئی۔ سر میں ڈنڈے مارے، بازو پر ڈنڈا مارا اور ٹانگ پر بھی ڈنڈے سے مارا۔ تقریبا چھ سات گھنٹے بعد میری والدہ کو ہوش ایا۔ مرزائی پھر پیچھے گئے ہیں کہ اب کام ہو گیا ہے تو اب یہاں سے نکلتے ہیں۔ پھر مرزئی بھاگ گئے۔
