I was born in a family where questioning was considered a sin. And we were bound by a chain of slavery that my elders called Ahmaddiyat.
My name is Kashif and our family belongs from Hyderabad, Sindh. First in my family, my great-grandfather pledged allegiance to Mirza Qadiani and adopted Qadiyaniyyat and since then our family has been following Qadiyaniyyat.
A few years ago, my father got cancer due to which we shifted from one neighborhood to another. In our previous neighborhood, there were all Qadianis and our relatives and so on. The reason for shifting to the new neighborhood we shifted to was that we had spent all the money on our father’s treatment after selling our houses etc and ending our businesses.
There were more Muslims in the new neighborhood than Qadianis. When we shifted there, I used to hang out with Muslim boys. Although we were strictly instructed by the Qadianis that we should neither reveal our religion nor have any dealings and relations with them. After that, I started going to the masjid with these friends. I started getting so much peace in the masjid that I used to spend most of my time in the masjid.
One Friday, when I went to pray, Imam Sahib was delivering a sermon on the End of Prophethood. And after that, he also said that Qadianis are excluded from the circle of Islam based on their beliefs. This was very shocking for me and it gave me a blow. That day, I came home and asked myself in solitude, am I not a Muslim? Are we really unbelievers? This question gave me sleepless nights. I used to cry throughout the night and wake up wondering if we were really non-Muslims. Is what the Imam said is true? Are our beliefs really wrong?
To find the answer to this question, I decided to go to Bait-uz-Zikr, the place worships of the Qadianis. I studied Mirza Qadiani’s Books there, in which so many infidelity and blasphemous things were written. Taubah Nauzu Billah! Which I cannot even put into words here. After reading the books of Mirza Qadiani, I didn’t get my answers, instead I started to have doubts about Qadiyaniyyat in my mind.
I approached an official of Qadianis, who was the president there and tried to ask him the question. He asked me to contact such and such a Murabbi to avoid it. They call their scholar a Murabbi. I went to the Murabbi there and questioned him during a lecture. He asked me to be quiet. But I said I wanted an answer from him in front of everyone. Thereby two or three people caught me and forcibly locked me in a room. Now I was convinced that none of them had the answers to my questions. And my anxiety was increasing. I was not able to make the right decision.
Then I had a dream that helped me a lot in my decision. I saw that a great religious scholar took my hand and led me and it occurred to me at that time that he was taking me to meet Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him). At that time, My happiness knew no bounds but then he locked me in jail. I asked him why he was locking me here? As he was taking me to meet Prophet Muhammad. But then he said that I was a disbeliever and I could not meet him. It was a very scary thing for me and it made me very worried. After that, when I woke up from the dream, the first thing I decided was to accept Islam.
Then I went to my friends and I told them that there is no trust in life and I want to accept Islam at that time. They took me to the Imam of a nearby Masjid and there I cursed Mirza Qadiyani and accepted Islam. When I told my parents that I had accepted Islam, they beat and threatened me a lot because they were staunch Qadianis and wanted me to come back. But I preserved and started working hard upon my parents. A few months later I convinced my father after which he accepted Islam. My mother, brother and sister had not yet become Muslims. It took me some time, but Alhamdulillah, I converted all of them to Islam. Now our entire family was Muslim.
The news of our acceptance of Islam spread among all the Qadianis. As many of our relatives were in high ranks. Among the Qadianis, they began to tempt us. When they didn’t succeed, they started to threaten us. Only we and our Lord know what agony we spent those days. The Qadianis were constantly following us. They used to stop us on the roads and threaten us. Once, they even tried to attack me fatally in which Allah saved me. Maybe because so I can tell their truth to the world and the soft image that they represent “Love for all and Hatred for none” The true meaning of their slogan present to the world. We were so harassed by the Qadianis that we had to leave everything behind and shift from Hyderabad to Punjab. The savings we had were no more. Being the eldest of the house, the responsibility of the house was on me. I had to run the day-to-day system here too. I was new here and so had a lot of trouble finding a job.
After some time, I got a job which was that of a salesperson. Salary was given only on achieving the targets. I did that job for two months but I didn’t get any salary. Because I had no PR. And I was facing a lot of difficulty in achieving the targets. After not achieving the target, I was fired after a few months. But what could I do, I had to run the household system, I could not even beg. So, I decided to do labor. Sometimes I would get a small job and other times I had to return home empty-handed. Sometimes there was something to eat in the house and sometimes nothing. But when a person strives and perseveres for the sake of Allah, then Allah never leaves His servants alone. May Allah reward him well, a brother gave us a house on a modest rent. It is a one-room house in which I, my mother, brother and sister live.
And now it is the mission of my life, to lead the Qadianis to Islam. And Alhamdulillah, five people have become Muslims upon my hand. And I know what problems they face when a person becomes a Muslim. Even now I know some Qadianis who want to leave Qadianiyyat and accept Islam. However, due to difficulties, they are not able to accept Islam. And I hope that if we support such people, many families can become associated with the mercy of Khatam-un-Nabiyeen Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him).
