The personality of Hakeem Maulana Abdul Rahim Ashraf, may Allah have mercy on him, does not need any introduction. The Maulana was born in 1922 in a town of Viruwal in Amritsar district. Hakeem Abdul Rahim Ashraf, may Allah have mercy on him, studied all the popular religious studies from Maulana Abdullah Virwalvi, may Allah have mercy on him. He was also doing teaching services.
Maulana used to write articles before the establishment of Pakistan. After Pakistan, he came to Lyallpur (Faisalabad) and then spent his life in the same city. In Faisalabad, the deceased took a house on rent in Jinnah Colony, Faisalabad and founded the Islamic Education Jamia in it, later on Sargodha Road. He took the place and built a beautiful building there. All his life of Maulana, he was trying to spread religion. Also, the deceased founded a medical institution named Ashraf Laboratories and also started printing books and magazines.
The implementation of Islam in the Kingdom of God was a long-standing dream of Maulana Sahib. He was also very active against the sedition of Qadianis. In 1974, Maulana Abdul Rahim Ashraf, may Allah have mercy on him, declared the two groups of Qadianis, Ribawai and Lahori, as non-Muslims according to the constitution and law, and his services are unforgettable. “Islam and Qadiyanity” is the historical effort against the Qadianis that has been presented to the members of the assembly and the rulers during the ongoing debate in the National Assembly to declare the Qadianis non-Muslim. The Qadianis were proved to be non-Muslims through references.
The late Maulana Abdul Rahim Ashraf presented this authentic document to the members of the National Assembly in writing in 1974, which was used to declare the Qadianis non-Muslims. Later, Dr. Zahid Ashraf, the son of the said, has edited and published this effort of his father. Hakeem passed away on 28 June 1996. On the same day, after the Asr prayer, his funeral prayer was performed at the university ground, Faisalabad.
